JDX 6

Post by Ivan »

Today I bought a JDX6 that has 500 miles on it and it was stored on a trailer in a barn since 1980. It does not have any spark and I plan on filing and resetting the points and installing new plugs. Then I am going to clean the fuel system. Is there any thing else I should do to the engine after sitting this long? Where is a good place to get a carb rebuild kit from? Does anyone know what the part number is for this kit? On and before I forget this is my first post on this great site. I have been riding snowmobiles since the mid 60's. Thanks for any help that I can get. Ivan

Please go to the FAQ section and read: "Trouble shooting your sled" This will get you started.

Walbro kits are available from most catalog sources.

This is the kit I would recommend. It is a little more expensive then others, but it's genuine Walbro:
