Bruce purchased this sled for $425 from
the original owner. At the time it ran poorly. The project
started out with some general maintence. New hyfax, new bolts
where needed, checked/cleaned/lubed bearings. The track was in
good shape with 96 studs. The skis were sandblasted, primed,
painted and sealed, along with the shocks. The visible part of
the tunnel was repainted.
New parts included: Polaris kill switch, hand warmers, headlight, temperature gauge, drive belt, blue polaris primary spring, fuel line and filter, chaincase seal and oil, and carb mounting flanges (the reason it ran poorly). Some NOS parts include windshield, seat cover, and snow flap from Image Enterprises.
The hood was sanded, primed and painted, and finished with decals from Image. To finish it off, a new cover, again from Image.
