Re: Herter's Husky
I usually do not restore sleds as it takes so much time but the Herter's really needed it.
I sanded 16 hours on the hood, dash and other plastic pieces.
Sand blasted 100 lbs of media. But it looks really good.
Time to work on some Horicon sleds now.

Re: Herter's Husky
That is a beauty! A friend of mine has a gold one and a black one. Where did you get the decals? He is looking for some.
Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.
Re: Herter's Husky
A local graphics guy did the decals.
He shot the originals with his camera and reproduced them on his computor.
Charged $60.00.
I sold the sled to a Herter's collector in Waconia MN.

Re: Herter's Husky
Todd, I know this thread is quite old but any chance the graphics guy would still have the ability to print those decals? I'm restoring a 71 Husky and is would save a lot of messing around since you already did it.
Thanks,
Brent

Re: Herter's Husky
If he saved the program from three years ago I bet he would print off a set for you.
