I've got two stators and I would like to meter them both, putting Sports motor back together and I'd like to check them first.

Try unplugging the main sled wiring harness from the plug on engine by the recoil.
If the kill switch cct. has shorted out to frame it would cause a no spark.

There is an 80 440 Trail in the supershopper, in Orillia.
