Re: Trailfire Kijiji Saskatchewan

Thanks, that was the conclusion that I was coming to as well. I don't think I will have time to go and get it, but hopefully it goes to someone that wants to restore it, and look after it. If it is a Canadian Special it is probably quite rare.

Trailfire Kijiji Saskatchewan

I was checking out Kijiji and found an '82 trailfire for sale, the type code was different from what is listed on the models page. It is J34SL, you can see the serial plate clearly on the pictures. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about this type code, if it is special or just your run of th...

Re: KEC 440/21

The jdparts.com website lists the part # as M63270, you could check with your local John Deere dealer to see if they still make it or if it is the same color. This is an updated part #, but it doesn't mean that they have the parts.

Hope this helps,

Ian

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicle ... Z258819447 Here is one in Dresden, doesn't look to be too far from you. Keep checking Kijiji if you haven't already, there are usually quite a few posted.

Re: Production Numbers

As far as I know the '84's started at 285001, my liquifire starts with a 285 and according to the parts book there is a break there on certain parts (decals etc.).
Hope this helps, maybe there is someone else who can confirm this!!

Re: Trailfire Canadian Special

I went onto the jdparts.com website and found the part # for the hood on the canadian special was the same as a sportfire. It also shows some other parts listed as "340 special canada". Just thought I would add that after reading an old post about the sled.

Thanks,

Ian

'84 Liquifire

Well, 2 months after I bought it I thought I should show some pics of my liquifre. There is a bit of work to be done to it, the TR800 clutch is ready to crap out any day now, there are a few scratches in the hood and after the excitement of finding an '84 liquifire and then buying it I noticed that ...

Trailfire Canadian Special

Just wondering if anybody has a Canadian Special Trailfire or has pictures of one, was reading about it in the models forum and thought it sounded interesting.

Thanks,

Re: Feb 20 Roblin & Makaroff MB Vintage Derby

Well, I was really wanting to make it to the rally, but I don't think I will be able to. My wife is due right around then and if I'm not there to take her to the hospital there might be some coarse language when I get home. Hope you have a good turn out, maybe next year I can see how good that homem...

John Deere Parts Website

I went onto the John Deere Parts Catalogue under liquifire and found some interesting things, they list the Serial #'s for presumably 1984 Liquifires as starting at #285001 (found it under the decals section). There was also a cross country 56 hp race kit listed that looks like it was to fit on a fi...
