KEC 440/21

Post by kiedro44 »

Hi all,
At one time I thought I saw posted that you could still get the JD yellow tinted fuel line somewhere. Can anyone remind me if this is so, or what a good online source for bulk line is? Is it through JD parts?
Also, will a gasket set for a 440/22 work on a 21? I'm working on a 73 X8 and need a kit that includes all gaskets including crank seals. Any suggestions on a preferred supplier for these kits?

Thanks for the help,

I think that mfgssupply lists gasket sets for as far back as '75. I don't know if the KEC 21/22/A designations indicate any real difference in the X8 motors other than model years. That was the suplier and set I was looking at though, for my '73.
Thanks for the leads!

The jdparts.com website lists the part # as M63270, you could check with your local John Deere dealer to see if they still make it or if it is the same color. This is an updated part #, but it doesn't mean that they have the parts.

Hope this helps,
