So what bulb do I need to be using? I have been getting the same bulb that was in the sled when I got it, but it may not be right.

I did have it on DC will, try again... Which lead do I need to put where and what readings should I see?

ok so when the last bulb burnt out it did some crazy things...the light changed to a few different colors before it went out. I've checked all the wiring and all is well. 79 spitfire. voltage reading was peaking around 30 v at high rpm so i bought a 28v headlight. this bulb didnt last long. so i bought a new VR and a 12v bulb. still blowing bulbs. any ideas? what bulb should i be running? anyone have any part #s other than the JD #s?

tried rejetting. went up and down and couldnt get it to run good except to leave it where it was. crank seals seem ok...sprayed with carb cleaner when running and it didnt change idle speed. adjusting the air screw does nothing to the way it idles...even if i turn it all the way in. it runs good at ...

Looking to replace the carb on a 340 kohler f/a. It currently has the butterfly carb. What carb out there would be a good replacement? 78 kohler spitfire. Starts easy. runs good off the line, but doesnt ever seem to wind out all the way. And after it is run for a few minutes it gets weaker.
