This was the reaction i was hopping for. I know it's somewhat of a rare sled that's why i asked the question. now all i have to do is find a couple missing pieces, get the seat recovered and try and find the right paint or paint code to repaint it.

yeah there is that too, plus i don't think i would be allowed to spend the money anyway, at least not at this time i still need a clutch too.

has anybody ever heard of a john deere tr 800 clutch? that's what came with my sled (75 jd 800) when i bought it and i can't find anything out about it online. i can't get it to engage and i want to know it it is rebuildable

well i got my parts yesterday and got the engine reassembled and put back in the sled. i finally got it to run, for a couple seconds anyway but that was with carb cleaner. if anyone can tell me what lines from the tank go to what ports on the carb and how to set the carb up it would be much apprecia...

well yesterday i found the problem, the clutch side piston is missing half the skirt and when i went to remove the piston pin the other half broke off. so now all i need is a couple pistons and a gasket/seal set. does anyone know how to tell the difference between the 340ccw and the 440ccw? cause wh...

Well i pulled the heads off yesterday and found some crap on the left piston, so i cleaned it all off and put the head back on with a couple nuts and then slowly turned it over with the pull start, it rotated probably three or four times and then stopped so i pulled the head off again and there was ...

yeah, i was thinking of repainting and getting new decals for it. I don't know where i would be able to find the correct paint, the decals i'm not worried about cause my wife can make them for me seeing as she is a graphic designer.
