I just wanted to do a double check to make sure things were in the right spot. the bolts that hold the m...

1978 Liquifire 440 Clutch Alignment w/ no tool

Hi, I am wondering if I can perform the proper clutch alignment without buying the tool? The reason I ask is because I have a vintage ride coming up and I don't think I will have time to order/ship the tool up to me (i'm up in Calgary, AB, Canada). I called the local shop but they don't carry this t...

Re: 1978 Liquifire 440 revving issues

Re: 1978 John Deere Liquifire 440

Good feedback guys thanks. Ok so lets start with the basics - clutching and carb tuning. I haven't taken the clutches apart yet to see what I have in there for weights, springs, helix etc in the primary or secondary. But does anybody have some recommended clutching setup that works well, back shifts...

1978 John Deere Liquifire 440

Hey guys, I have a John Deere Liquifire 440 and it runs pretty good - had it out for the first time this past weekend in Revelstoke for the vintage ride. I wanted to do some more work to it over the summer, not only body work and paint but also some HP modifications. So I was wondering if anybody on...
