Hello,
Has anybody purchased a Black Ice brand sled lift? I'm looking at the one with the hand crank at http://www.discountramps.com/snowmobile ... NO-1508-W/
I'm just curious as to whether it will work safely with the older sleds (77 Cyclones and Liquifires)?
Any opinions?
Thanks,
Randy

Mikuni 6f27 needle
I have been looking through the forums but I have yet to find the answer to this question. Is there a replacement needle for the 6f27? This was the stock needle for the 80 Trailfires. Mikuni no longer makes that needle.
Thanks
Randy
Thanks

Re: 81 Liquifire/hard to turn over
I haven't had time to do much with it. The clutch seemed fine, belt wasn't dragging.

Yeah that is what I figured would have to be the next step. I guess put it on the list of "to be done". Thanks HarleyS.

81 Liquifire/hard to turn over
A friend of mine sold me his 81 Liquifire. It's been sitting a few years. It is really a lot of work to pull the rope on this compared to my 80 LF. Possible causes of an engine that seems very tight, to the point of not being able to get it started. Thanks for any advice or information. He said it's...

Re: Thoroughly stumped at the moment SPARKLESS
All right, I have conceded for the day. Can't get to the lower front fan shroud bolt so I began to remove engine mount nuts and bolts. Maybe I'm missing something but the rear two mount bolts are spinning when I try to loosen the nut, you can't get to the backside of them so how do you get them out?...

Re: Thoroughly stumped at the moment SPARKLESS
Thanks for the help. I'm looking at the shroud and it is looking like the engine has to come out to get to the lower shroud bolt. Am I mistaken? Can replace stator without removing engine? By the way, it measured zilch on the ohm meter, so I would say that was the problem.
Thanks once again,
Randy

Re: Thoroughly stumped at the moment SPARKLESS
Thanks Wade. Can you put a 76 connector on a 77-78 CDI unit without any difficulties? I have one with the round connectors but need the square on there.

Re: Thoroughly stumped at the moment SPARKLESS
Thanks for the help Harley, do you know if the stators from the Liquifires will work in the Cyclones? 440 or 340 make a difference?

Thoroughly stumped at the moment SPARKLESS
1976 Cyclone 440, took her out for a great hour or so ride with absolutely no problems, started fine cold and ran the rest of the ride. Got to the barn and shut her down, 5 minutes later, go to start and nothing....no spark whatsoever. How can this be? No issue in the past. It was getting to cold to...

We are at about 10 or 11" and it's still coming down.
I may not be going to Normal tomorrow. What a shame. ; )

Repost on steering pad nuts
Hello,
Hard drive switchover must have knocked my post out about the steering pad nuts. What is the name for that type of nut? Checked with dealer and they are no longer available.
Sorry for the repeat post but I didn't get a chance to read the post that went up.
