Repost on steering pad nuts

Post by rmreid »

Hello,
Hard drive switchover must have knocked my post out about the steering pad nuts. What is the name for that type of nut? Checked with dealer and they are no longer available.

Sorry for the repeat post but I didn't get a chance to read the post that went up.

Randy, I had responded but it was knocked out too. In the car business we always called them "speed nuts" as they were used to hold on nameplates, moldings, etc. They should be available at any big hardware I think my local hardware even has them. Let me know if you can't find them.

PS: I just remembered that I'm sure I got some from NAPA

That's funny Randy, I tried to get them through Deere also. Great idea about the hardware store Don.
