Re: 295/S Engine or Not ?

Yeah, it makes me wonder too. I guess it is also possible that whomever stamped the case had the "6" upside-down and made a "9".

295/S Engine or Not ?

I picked this up a couple years ago and just put it on the shelf. I am now trying to decide if I want to find a chassis for it or sell it, but I would like to know for sure that it is a 295/S engine. It looks like the real deal, but the biggest concern I have is that the serial number on the fan hou...

FOR SALE: 1983 Liquifire

FOR SALE: '83 John Deere Liquifire 440, VIN number starts with J44LM (mfg - 6/82). Sleds is in pretty decent condition overall, but could use a little TLC. Good rider-quality sled. Re: Nos 78 liquifire cc kit on e-bay

I don't think I could use it, maybe open the box and place it on display under glass. -Rainville Me too, I don't think I could bring myself to use it. If you put it on a sled, make a lap around the house it's only worth $500. It would be an expensive, but an awesome living-room decoration. It would...

Looking for a '78 Liquifire Hood Grille

I need the plastic radiator hood grille for my "NEW" '78 Liquifire, mine is busted-up and missing pieces. Does anyone have a decent one they are willing to part with ? Let me know if you have one and how much.

Thanks !

Re: cool or stupid?

Very Cool Wade ! That's going to be a fun rider.

I assume you had to "lose" the storage compartment ?

If for some reason I don't sell my 2 JDX8's, I'm thinking of doing something similar. I already have a 440 LF parts sled & engine and a '78 skid.

I Need a Cyclone Muffler/Expansion Chamber

I was hoping to take my '76 440 Cyclone on a vinatge ride this Saturday (1/22), but the muffler is junk. Anybody close-by have one they want to sell ? I'm just outside of Fond du Lac, WI. It looks like they are all the same, 340 vs. 440, and should be marked AM53793. Email me at shack8139@att.net or...

For Sale: 2x '73 JDX8s

Need to make some room and these need to go. 2 1973 JDX8 sleds. One has an engine (440/21), one does not. Good compression and does run (I put a mikiuni temporarily to see if it would run). The original Walbro carb is junk. Lots of good usable parts or put together one good one. Overall these sleds ...
