well today i skipped work and worked on both my lf's i got both of them running good just some fine tuning when it gets a little colder. i put the stock powerjet carbs on the one and the 38's on the other. they both run well now. i completley started over with the fuel system on the first one i did....

i did put the stock carbs on it i didnt before because the person i bought the sled from thought he was a rocket scientist and took a bunch of parts out of the carbs. thats why i initially wanted to do the 38's. i got all the missing parts and reassembled them and i am still havin minor problems now...

i have one other question, once i get this thing runnin good is it gonna be finiky or will it be pretty reliable? i know most of the reason it is not running properly now is my fault but after i get it goin is it gonna be good?

well i thought i had it guess not the sled was still hard to start after all i had to pull my brains out to get it to run after starting it it ran good. it also seemed to get flooded out real easy. i got all the missing parts for my stock carbs. put them on and it seems to be better. still haveing s...

yahooooooo! y did i ever doubt the info i recieved here. well tonight me and my 38's sat down and had a long talk they told me that the needle jets i put in were slightly different than the ones i needed in the carbs both were a q-2 but the ones that i needed for my 38's was a little longer. luckily...

the needles im using are 6cey6 and needle jets are q-2 they were in the 38mm carbs when i got them they are alot thinner than the recomended needles and i think that is why they are working better with the 260 mains. im gonna get some more jets and try again with the setup i was given in the faq sec...

ok i tried all the specs givin here and in the faq section needles needle jets mains slides and pilot jets. the sled didnt want to run properly. it would start hard and wouldnt idle if i put half choke on it would start fine then i would take it off. riding the sled it was kinda dead at low rpm it w...

did you pull the plugs and check the pistons through the holes. i had a sled do that to me twice it leaned itself out and burned a whole in the piston. it was the fuel pump. one side of the pump didnt work and the other did. dont know if this helps

thanks everyone for the input on this subject i only had a few minute to mess with the sled last night i put 260 main 35 pilot with 2.5 slides i dont have the proper needle yet i just tried this stuff and it worked great so far not perfect yet but it is running and starting much better than it ever ...

thanks for the advise on the carb i did just what you said except for check out the faq for tuning them i will do that asap the oring that is in the carb where does it go the only gaskets that are in my carbs are the ones under the needle seat and the bowl gasket. i did take them entirely apart and ...
