Re: Central Snowmobile

It's a sad story actually. Central Snowmobile closed/relocated & SCRAPPED all of their leftover "stuff". So many chassis & parts were sold for scrap prices it made me wanna throw up. I did not find out about it until a week after they did it, otherwise I would have put the word out...

Suspension removal?

I paid $30 + shipping each for 2 rusty ones.
Maybe not the best deal, but I was desperate.
I have 1 left if you need one.
Just thought I'd offer.

Suspension removal?

One of my Sprintfires that I bought had the runner wore down so bad that they welded
a new piece in the hole of the ski. The pain was that they did it again & they only left the
nuts in place. 'cmon

79 Spitfire - No Power

I picked up a cheap spitfire for parts, but decided to try to run it.
Long story short I had the same (ish) symptoms.
It would start, but that was about it. More gas just made it worse
but then it completly quit & was tough to start.
New CDI & it runs just great.
Just my story.

Highlights of 2009 snowmobile season

So much fun in '09. I haven't seen the trails that nice in ne wi since the early '80's The Horicon reunion was awesome! I brought a "polaris" buddy along. He is now a deere fanatic. He could not believe all of the sleds & the great people. If we could only find him a Liquifire (80-84)....

84 Trailfire LX MINT

money, time, or hobby? If you WANT a MINT trailfire I'd say it's worth it. Like the rest said, if you wanted a mint trail & bough an ok one for a couple hundred & put a few months into finding, a few 100's in buying, and more time installing "newer" parts you'd have that into it. B...

Fuel for the FIRE

Just finally read this one. Reminds me of Deere vs skidoo last weekend... Last weekend our small group went on a 200 mi ride. (my '83 Sprintfire, 2004 FireCat, 78,79,80 Polaris TXL's, a 77 Yahama Enticer, a 77 Skidoo Blizzard 7500, and some other 2007 Skidoo. (They all look the same to me now). The ...

We are supposed to get 6-10" as well. (Shawano)
I just checked the 10-day forecast.
More snow & not above freezing.
Looks like a few more weeks of riding!!!
