The things that should work when the key is turned on are not. Radio power windows lights on the radio and the heater control panel. However the heater control panel works other then the lights
The instrument panel works fine lights and all.

No fuese under the hood.
I pulled the cd player and radio and checked for power none . Traced the harness back to to fuse box all wires look fine no chaffing or anything. I checked for power at the fuses for the radio no voltage...
any idea

Paid 2200.00 cash for a 94 GMC ext cab short box. Only has 120xxx for miles. Some rust but allot of truck for the money. Still real tight and the 350 is a proven mil. I guess the 88 and older 2.9 had head cracking problems, I have to watch not to overheat it..They say that synthetic oil is a must in these older 2.9 it appaerently has hot spots in the heads. Any thoughts about brands of synthetic oils?

thanks for the info I Don't pull anything to heavy. If its in good shape I think I will buy it. It must be one of the coils. Did you put new spark plugs in? I am not familer with this series of sleds are there seperate external coils one for each cylinder? Could you ohm the coils after there warm. Had a liquifire act this way changed the externial then it ran good. I test airplane spark plugs ...
