Re: FYI, I will be getting the M67976 hoses remade

I just stripped a 80 Liquifire to start rebuilding. I know the hose is there, but what shape it's in is not clear this morning. I'll check it out & get back to you later this afternoon. Dave

Re: Question about Vin #

Guages pivot on a clamp type system onto the tubing. Right not i can't anser where the coils are mounted, it does have th limiter mounted to the bulkhead kinda under one of the carbs. I'm betting it's all 80 with a 83 tunnel.

Re: Question about Vin #

Solid rubber track. Are there some other indicators that I can look for? I had a friend check it over, he says everthing else is 1980, not 1983. It appears that the tunnel may have been replaced, although it was painted black & has the 1980 stickers on it as well. Thanks for all the help

Question about Vin #

Just purchased a 1980 Liquifire. The problem I have is that the VIN # doesn't appear to match up with what it should. Mine read as follows: J44LM 222708M

Can anyone verify that this is a 1980 & not a 1983 like I think it could be.

Thanks in advance, Dave

83 Sprint carb

I'm working on a 83 Sprintfire, I found that the threads are stripped out where the choke cable goes in. Anyone have a idea how to fix this, or maybe a carb they'd part with? Also wondering if anyone can give me a part number for the drive axle bearings. I got this machine for FREE , bought a...

Re: Did someone from this site get this '82 SNowfire?

Robb, I'm pretty sure a fellow from Horicon picked it up on black Friday, at least he said he was going to get it then. I haven't spoken to him since, but I"m willing to bet it's in his shop. That's all I can tell you & the only reason I know that is he & I talked on Thursday because I ...

Re: Barn find in ohio

Tom, That was nice to hear you got the old Dator running & the original owner back in the seat!

Joe, I wasn't trying to upset the apple cart, I just personally didn't care for the ads on VSCA.

Sorry if I have offended anyone, that wasn't my intention. Please accept my apologies

Re: Barn find in ohio

I realize it's a very nice find, I would be really excited if I found one for sure. I'd like to hear more of the history & not so much of the "Look what I found, to bad for you."

My thoughts, Later Bottoms up from the birth place!!

Re: Barn find in ohio

I'm not sure why the fellow keeps rubbing everyone's nose in it on the VSCA site. He found a Dator, good for him, hopefullly it will be in a good home now.

Just my feelings about this subject.
