RIP---Leroy

Post by dator-bob »

Just saw on vintage sleds that Leroy Lindblad, passed away on Saturday. Leroy was one of the reasons i wanted to race cross country. He was my hero in 1970 & 71 when he won back to back Winnipeg I-500's
When i started racing the 500---Leroy was one of the first guy's to welcome me, and the JD crew to the 500 race.
I will never forget that. He was one of the great guy's in snowmobile racing, and he will be missed!!!

Bobby you're spot on about Leroy. You and I wouldn't meet and become best friends until the mid 70's but we both had the same cross country hero well before that and he was Leroy Lindblad. RIP Leroy, you made a lot of great impressions that will last forever.
