77' Cyclone Vent Foam?

Post by Hoppy »

Did the 77' cyclones come with foam strips on top and outside of the lovered panels that face you at your knees? I just repainted mine and they came out awesome however in doing the prep work I noticed what appeared to be old adhesive on those two sides. Top and outside edge. If there was/is supposed to be foam there does anyone know where I can get it or what a good substitute would be? thanks!

Yes there was some type of insulation on those vents.
Not sure how it was from new/NOS.
I found some weather stripping for my Liquifire with adhesive about 3/4'' thick and it worked quite well.
I assume it was put there to snug up and protect the hood, maybe to reduce engine noise and vibration.
Maybe some members will chime in as to how it was from new. :?:
