Jd 400 missing parts?

Should a 1975 jd 400 have a primer and if so who has one?

It was a dealer option/kit, but I've barely ever seen them installed.

I have lots of spark in 1 cylinder what would cause that

have you lost spark on one cylinder?
Did you have spark on both?
what have you done to the sled?

I boght it from a member JDcornflakes and it came woth lots of parts Nos and used and I only filed the points through the flywheel ports

I have seen the sled. I have both bought from and sold to JDcornflakes. The NOS hood you got with the sled Dave got from me.

Was there spark on both cylinders?

check and recheck all the connections and grounds.

It would be a good idea to replace the crank seals in the motor.

Wish you were a little closer. It would be fun to help you with this project.

never was sprk on the cylinders so I filed both and only one made spark

Well your half way there.

At least when you have spark on one side you can switch parts to see what part the problem follows.
