This is Dicks Marine in Fox Lake Ill. At least 2 NOS 340/s Motors came out of here and one special Liquid Cooled Pressure Cooker for some Tea Pot Collector. Yeah you know who you are.

Liquidator crankshaft??? Look closely.....buyer beware.
Re: NOS Liquidator Crankshaft & NOS Engine Block Assembly
I just could not sleep if I didnt go up in the rafters in the garage and check. After going through a box of unservicable crank parts several observations I made leave these parts suspect.
Crank Shaft- It is a pork chop crank not a full circle / Number of bearings 5 vs 6 / The center seal is different than the one in my box of parts / If it was a Liquidator crankshaft it would be rusty and unusable.
Crankcase Halves- There are no wooden inserts for the boost ports.
Cylinders- I am proud of this one but I warn you it is a thinker / If you look at the cylinders they are far from square they almost look round.
Cylinder Head- There is only one plug hole per side
Come on guys this is Wildfire stuff all day long.
Goodnight...

Tasky you're killing me. I'm so confused right now. Seriously though, that looks like a regular /22 or /23 crankshaft.

The real fun would be the ability to utilize the " Have One Sell It Yourself " function on either of these listings.

That is NOT a Dator crankshaft. That crank is for Cyclone,800 etc.
Re: NOS Liquidator Crankshaft & NOS Engine Block Assembly
Looks like a 23 crank to me , aren't the center bearings smaller on a 22 ?

Hi Guys,
Obvously those actions caught a lot our attention, and you all look to be correct. I think Ed it right about it being a 440/22 crank. Here is a pic of a 76 Cyclone Crank freash from Jerome's magic:
As for the empty motor cases, jug, head, and water pump, they look to be well worth the opening bid and should go higher. I think I paid $350 just for an NOS water pump for example. Pretty cool. Had I not just bough a new house, the Triplefire, 78 CC and 82 Snowfire, I would be all over that like a fat kid on a smarty to quote Greg Shubby-Doo. I hope the winner enjoys those treasures, it will be a fun one to watch.
-Joe
PS: Did someone e-mail the seller of the crank to let him know? That will be an interesting exchange.

Definitely entertaining discussion. I replied to the seller with a link to this discussion so he can decide for himself or ask questions.
