Dodge Trucks...'87 power ram

Post by eppjd »

Hey i know this has absolutely nothing to do with snowmobiles at all, but i was wondering if anybody has or has had experience with late 1980 (85-89) model dodge power rams. Im looking at buying one ('87 with a 318, 4 barrel carb, and auto transmission) and just asking if anybody has any advice for me.

thanks a lot
Adam

Dont look to have better than 12 miles to the gallon on the 4x4's. Otherwise, I have worked on these and they are decent in my opinion.

Haha 12 miles to the gallon, thats better than i would have expected lol. I wasn't planning on using for a highway driver as much as a big 4x4 rig, can anyone say 'welders special'?!?

The guy said the tranny was rebuilt about 2 years ago, who knows what that means, if i bought it i might eventually think about dropping a 4-speed into it.
