I'd want to keep it simple. Whatevery chassis, engine and exhaust I use (Liquifire,Cyclone) will probably remain the same. Just the hood and paint job will cost plenty.
One thing, would a Liquidator hood fit on a newer liquifire or even trailfire? I have been comparing pictures but it's not like having hands on. Also, I doubt I would use a Liquidator hood for anything other than a model to fabricate. I'd leave any original Liquidator hood for an original Liquidator.
I just want to be Brian Nelson instead of Grant Nelson for a little bit.

well here is my thoughts . If you wanna be creative go for it its not like we can bring jd back into the snowmobile industry but we can take their dreams an carry them on into the future an show the world what they could have done my thought on sleds an customizing them is simple the only limits are your immagionation an your wallet why make a clone make the sled your own give it your own name just be honest with youorself an those that ask many concept sleds that I have seen all started as somethin else someone elses dream I love the idea of taking somethin old that worked an for lack of better words bring it up to speed I have a 76 liquifire that I am doin all kinda sins according to those that restore them dators are a great race sled but rare so much that ya need to have a lot of luck an a min of 5 grand to even concider lookin at one but you wont see them on the trail too much or at your local radar run or at least I havent just my thought s so rock on an build it up just remeber one thing when you start customizing nothin an I mean nothing is sacred this all from a guy who is gooofy enough to put a vt500 bike motor in my ridin lawn mower lolwill send pick when I am done

I erally appreciate the encouragement from everyone. I have some ideas about where I want to go with this and I've got my eyes open for pieces I may need.
I haven't gotten creative mechanically for a couple of winters. The last big project I did was mounting a snowblower to the front of a Massey 510 combine. It was a decent way to blow snow but an even better way to spend extra money.

I think they liked it. I had purchased air cylinders, switches, tank and compressor and was going to switch the shifting to air shift but I was getting so obsessed with the project that I quit and sold it on Ebay. Before I sold it I had the snowblower, a forklift and a ten foot plow blade that I could mount on the front. It just got to be silly so I sold off the accessories first then the combine last.Mr. Deere wrote: NICE What do the neighbors say

Good project, though. Some guy in South Dakota now owns it. Or maybe it owns him, like it did me.

YOU KNOW THERE IS A BETTER USE FOR MASSEY 510'S RIGHT??? Especially if they are hydro's and a diesel.... They do pretty good in combine demo derbys... took a 3rd with mine, got beat by a 815 IH and a Deere.... but ah well, all in fun, but the snowblower idea is good too.... would like do something similar myself, would sure beat pushin snow
