JDRob

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

Our buddy JDRob (Haines) is once again in the hospital. He spent some time there just before Christmas at which time they had to rehydrate him. He came home for Christmas but Janine had to take him back as he's once again dehydrated. For you or I, rehydration isn't a big deal but with Rob's medical history ( transplant and diabetes) it's a tough proposition and a slower process. Please keep him in your prayers and hope that he will soon be back in the shop working.

First of all I want everyone to know that Rob's wife Janine has given me permission to post information about his condition. Certainly wouldn't want the HIPPA cops coming after me LOL.

Here's the latest. He's being transferred by ambulance at 3:00pm today to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He has pneumonia and is dehydrated. His medical team felt he would be better off there as that's where his transplant was done. All the meds he needs were being shipped from the Pittsburgh hospital anyway so the decision to move him there was appropriate.

Thanks for keeping him in your prayers!!

Here's the latest from Janine. There was a change in hospitals I think.

"He's in room 21 in the Transplant ICU at UPMC Montefiore. There were a lot of docs/nurses around him when I talked to him. I'm waiting until about 8pm to talk. By then I'm sure things will settle down."

I'll keep everyone updated as I receive information.
