83 v-max

saw an 1983 yamaha vmax sled today for the first time. Does anyone know much about these? I thought they made the vmax sled in the 90s not the 80"s? It was pretty cool looking. It seems to have a lot of simular parts as the exciter. Were these a pretty quick sled? How did it compare to the 83 LF?

83 vmax was a nice sled. it would probly roast a 83 liqui considering its a 500 if im not mistaken. it could have a 440 but it still would be faster. there a good sled.

the vmax was made from 82 to 87. the 81 was a 440 srx with struts. the 82 was to have a 500 but was never sold. the 83 came out with the 540. if you want more info check out this web site.
