Polaris direct drive

Did Polaris make a direct-drive like the Spitfire? My brother was saying something about that after Polaris purchased the snowmobile line they made direct drives. If so, which model?

Polaris made DD sleds long before they bought out Deere. They were called the Cutlass, SS, and Star's over the years, built with 440, 340, and 250cc singles too.

I think they were in production from around 80-88 or so...
