1984 Trailfire LX Resto

Post by 70WT1 »

Well here it goes, finally decided to do it or sell it and well, see the photos. Im kind of surprised how good of shape the sled is in. The only non Deere parts I found were the throttle cable and handwarmers, so it must have been somewhat taken care of. It has a few dings here and there but nothing major. Im not looking to make it a trailer queen, but I do like to have things right, so Ill see where this project takes me and Ill keep the photos coming as I move along.

This has been a looooong time coming but finally some progress :bonk:

Blast, etch prime, blitz black, repeat has been the process so far. The frame is at my buddies shop and in the paint booth. I ended up cleaning the tunnel with aluma-brite, I got it from my local Carquest store, it was almost instananously clean with very little effort. And of course I forgot to photo it, so ill post that later. :sled:

You know how to do it right. The extra mile or so you did stripping it down will show in the end. What # is your TF? I have one, #285343 that I did a reseal, hood paint and stickers. It now has 497 miles on it.
