WANTED Kill Switch for 78 Cyclone
I am looking for an Indak kill swtich for my 78 Cyclone. It does not need to be perfect it just needs to work (latch). I vintage snocross race this sled and although when pressed it will kill the motor, it will not latch, therefore it will not pass the tech inspection.
Thanks
PJ

They are hard to find. Since you are going to replace it anyway, you may be able to fix it or end up making it worse. Some have had good luck by drilling a small hole in the back, in the center and then spraying a lubricant inside.

Re: WANTED Kill Switch for 78 Cyclone
Are you sure That these switches arent New old stock, left over from back in the day? We have contacted Indak about making some for our Deeres, and they said basically sorry about your luck, un less you want about a bazillion switches.I cant see them still producing them. Or they would have said YEA we still make those.I hope im wrong. Someone please let us know what they find out on this deal. I will definatly stop paying top dollar everytime i need a switch.I will just go to a Ski Doo dealer. Brock
Re: WANTED Kill Switch for 78 Cyclone
I don't know if this Doo number is the same one I tried several years ago but that it looks that same.
It did not fit in the Deere grip. Too wide.

Re: WANTED Kill Switch for 78 Cyclone
Todd, I had a similar situation with an Indak switch from an Arctic Cat. Had to trim it down (plastic only) and it fits ok.

Re: WANTED Kill Switch for 78 Cyclone
Indak made several sizes of these kill switches. They all look the same except some had a different symbol on the cap.
Others had a differnt pigtail connector (easy to fix that).
I know the Scorpion one fits perfect.
The ones that were the final run they made that had the steel clamp on style are way too big.
