Like they said BE SAFE. SO wishing I was there, but lack of snow limited my testing and I ran into some problems (overheating issue, blown head gasket, etc, etc.) on my shake down run Sunday afternoon. Family commitments have kept me out of the garage this week so I'll have to wait until next year.

Sorry to hear Mitch. That sled looks lonely sitting there while all it's friends are out playing.

They posted on the FB page today that there was a change in radio programming:

THE SEVEN CLANS I-500 WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE ON THIEF RIVER FALLS RADIO KKDQ 99.3 FM - FREE STREAMING INTERNET RADIO.

Mitch, sorry to hear about your bad luck, but I hope to see you out here next year.

I would like to wish all the 32 entries in the Vintage Class and Vintage Legends a fun and safe race. Kudla and I ran into Wade and his buddy Chris today, and expect to see more guys here tomorrow and Friday. Looks like we have at least 6 Liquifires going to the line Saturday, and I hope we see many of them finish.

Thanks for rooting us on guys, hope we make you proud. If that fails, I hope we at least make you laugh with our tails of destruction.

While I'm happy to see you guys get to race, I'm also happy for Brian Nelson. He's put a lot of time, money, energy in this deal to save cross country. Thank you Brian!!!

Quick Update,

Tim Kudla finished one spot ahead of his start position on day one. No major sled damage, but he did have a spine tingler after he hit a gully and bottomed out the suspension shortly after that.

Both Dohrn boys burned down yesterday, no update as to why though.

Day Two:
Tim is still on the course, one of three that have not shown up at the finish line. Let's hope he's ok and the sled is too.

Radio station quit broadcasting at 2:12 and Tim was still one of two unaccounted for at the finish line. Don't think we'll get anymore information for awhile. Driver's meeting at 7:00pm.

Wade, Joe R, and others...DO NOT MISS THE DRIVER'S MEETING.

Tim was the last sled out and about the last one in. His Cat munched the clutch side jackshaft bearing so bad the clutches rubbed hard. Lots of filling and thrashing got the sled back together for day 3.

Dustin's are both here and the crew is eating dinner at the black cat...
