Uni Pods On a 1980 Liquifire

Whats the pros and cons of running uni pods instead of the oem air box?

If you are still using the power-jet carbs, don't even bother. The carbs do not function properly with out the aixbox.

If you insist on using filters, at least use K&N's. The uni-filters will collapse under load.

I was offered a set so Id thought I would do some homework before taking them. Im gonna pass and stick with the airbox.

Hey not trying to play devils advocate here but what is wrong with a set of 38 mm carbs and filter pods ?? Clay were you meaning that you had plans on runningthe stock power-jet carbs ?? If so, yeah what the other guys said ! but if you change to a different carb set up there are nothing wrong with running pods.... :sled:

Just a nightmare to get it right. If you start lean, you can count on buying another set of pistons...

im running uni pods on 38mm, things seem just peachy
1980 SF 440
1980 LF 440
1981 TF 440
