That is not oil, but rather un-burned fuel coming out. You check to make sure you carbs aren't dumping fuel into your engine.

What do the plugs look like?

I agree. There is something else here, like compression issues.

sounds to me like the engine is loaded up on fuel and it needs to get out and ran, every 80 + liquifire I have had does this exact thing at the ball joint but it will go away once the engine is hot and it all burns off, I have seen it drip out of the joint. Get it out and run it for a half hour in the snow.

Plugs just get wet with oil
Compression test shows 115 flywheel side and 85 pto side think this might be a problem

After being in shop for awhile and pulling on it trying to start it tryed testing it again and pto side was 100 flywheel side 115 then put plugs in it fired up first pull

I think you have another problem.

Did it run ok after you started it?

Make sure you have the throttle wide open when doing compression checks on a cold engine

No it ran the same I pulled the slides to check what the needles were set at and noticed there's gas even siting on top the slides going to pull cabs again tomorrow clean again for about the 30th time. put new fuel filter on and make sure everything is spotless hope the snow sticks around and this rain don't melt it all :letitsnow:

Even your revised compression readings are out of whack.
100/115 is not with in 10% and it is a little low.

Use the same spark plug on one side and than the other. Does the spark look the same?
Do not do this test without a plug on each wire as CDI damage can result.

You said plugs were oily. Do you mean they are wet with fuel/oil mixture or is it just oil?

So after battling with this thing pulling the carbs and checking plugs and everything else that could possibly go wrong for the last 3 years the battle has finally ended. I don't know what makes a carb go bad but they are the problem. Decided to take the carbs off my 81 and put them on to see what happens. Well it started right up and ran flawlessly rode it for about an hour or so without a single problem (man I love that long track!) so now I'm looking to find a different set of carbs for it

The needle/seats could be bad. They are replaceable.
