Well fellas, I figured it's time I show you guys a bit of what I've been up to in my spare time. I finally started assembly! I don't have a whole bunch done since everything seems to take absolutely forever on this sled, but it is coming none the less. I could rattle off a long list of what I've done on the sled so far, but I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. Sorry that they're a bit fuzzy by the way, I'm not really sure what's up with that.
Well, this assembly is taking wayyy longer than I anticipated. I'm hoping not this weekend, but the following weekend to finally start bolting some parts on again. The sled has sat silent since my last post because finals week and the spring rush at work took over. Now that the spring rush is finally over and I'm done with classes, I'm going to try to find as much time as I can to finish this beautiful sled. I hope to be posting progress pictures soon and if I'm not start bugging me about it guys so I get this thing finished!!
If there is one piece of advice i can give you, its don't rush you final assembly. Its always been by far my favorite part of the restoration process, but its also critical that nothing gets left out. Plus, you don't want to go scratching parts while you assemble. Have fun and take lots of pics!

Thanks Dustin I appreciate the advice. I'm in Canada on vacation right now, but when I get home I'm gonna start working on the Dator again in the afternoons after work. The biggest thing right now is dropping that crazy heavy motor in place and aligning the clutches. Then after that, this sled should get really fun to assemble!
Let me know when you are going to set the powerplant in the chassis. I need to make a trip north in the next month or so anyhow, and i may be able to give you a hand if needed.

Sounds great Dustin! I'm actually hoping to possibly do it next weekend if I have a chance or possibly the weekend after 4th of July weekend. Depends how busy I get with work haha
