Anyone know of custom chrome shops in Illinois ?

Just a tip when selecting a chrome shop. Preparation is everything when it comes to chrome, any imperfections will be magnified when you plate anything. I have used two different shops on my chroming, one did an excellent job prepping the parts, the other one didn't appear to do any prep work at all, and it shows. I would talk to someone at the shop on how they prep their parts before chroming. Just my .02 cents.

Terre is right. Imperfections before chroming will be there after chroming. Example is the engine tin on my 340/S. It was pitted before and now it's still pitted......but chromed.
