I'm using a Ford 4000 Industrial tractor with a bush hog. I want to change oil but can't find specifications. I've found spec's for a Ford 4000 tractor with a 3 cylinder gas engine but this has a 4 cylinder gas engine. Guessing the model year is mid 60's. Anyone experienced with this tractor? Also, it seems to have a 4 speed transmission with a forward-reverse shuttle lever. First gear is too fast for pulling the bushhog. Anyone know if it also has a "hi-lo" feature, I sure cant' find one.
Thanks.

Re: Ford 4000 Industrial Tractor
What specs are you looking for? As far as oil goes, 10w40 or 15w40 would be best, and it should hold about 7 quarts with changing the filter. If you do have the over-under 4 speed, the lever is to the left of the shifter, otherwise you have the standard 4 speed. First gear was pretty fast on the standard trans.
