Adding a tether to a 300

May get a chance to make a few rips at some grass drags this late summer, but I have to have a tether. What brand and does anyone have a handy wiring diagram of how it will need to be connected? Happy fourth of July all!

There are two types of tethers out there. Open and closed.

You will need an open type.
What that means is a normally open switch when the cap in monuted on the switch.
Popping the cap of the switch closes the contacts which shorts out the points and causes spark to cease.

Wiring is very simple. Two wires hook up in paralell to your key switch/killswitch curcuit.

These wires are usualy white and black. They are terminals A and B on the back of the key switch.

It does not mater which wire on the teather switch goes where.

Thanks Todd, my kill actually quit working the day I was putting the sled away last winter before returning to the snowless south and I never got a chance to check it out.
