Reproduction TR800 clutch bushing??? M68862

Post by TASKY »

Me and Kenny Heinz were discussing future reproduction parts projects and came to the conclusion that the TR800 clutch bushing (part number M68862) might be a good candidate.

Is anyone working on these now, yet, or in the future?

Is there even one in exsistense that we could backwards engineer from?

I am posting this for Kenny because he has limited computer access during his extended fishing hiatus. Feel free to post your feelings etc. There is a coffee shop he said he might be able to read posts at but might not be able to reply. Thanks Tasky

Bill,

I am in for 2 to 4 of them if you can get it done. Holler if I can be of any assistance.

PS: Randy, have any of those you can spare? Say, maybe 2 to 4 <grin>

I'll offer one up for reproduction if needed but will probably hang onto the other two until I know for sure there will be more available.

I sure could use several myself. RLfollman, Rainville, I am just the poster for this idea. Kenny is the brains behind the actual reproduction. He was going to be out of town for awhile and asked me if I would post he idea on the board to see if there was enough interest in pursuing it farther. Still hoping... TASKY

Bill did you check MCM to see if they have this size bushing?

There is definitely a need for these TR800 bushings. I still have many people asking for them but have held onto them in hopes that someone is able to have them reproduced.

Does anyone have the experience and interest to have these reproduced?

Randy

I thought that Rainville was on to something at one time but just like the I-500 he didn't get very far. ouch... The last I heard was that no one knew what kind of plastic to use so it would be more durable than what has been tried before.

Joe any thing to ad here?
