WTB brake lever 78 Spitfire

Post by cwarren »

Like it says, I need a brake perch for a Spitfire. I have the lever, brake switch and dimmer switch already. Thanks!

Cwarren,
Do you have access to a brake handle assembly from a 76 or 77 cyclone or liquifire. I make mine from these. Simply cut off the hand grip area and shim the inside diameter to fit your Spitfire bars. I use plastic for a shim but metal would work just as good. I haven't done one in a few years but I think I'm remembering correctly. The electric switches and hardware fit the same. Tom

cwarren,
Did you get it figured out. Don't know if there are any NOS ones out there. Haven't seen one in years. I think the jdx series used the same brake bracket as the later ones I described earlier. Tom

I haven't got it figured out yet. I am going to visit the boneyard in the near future and see what I can dig up.
