SportFire Carb Boots

Post by Mr. Deere »

Hi guys. Figure I'd start working on the sleds now. Nothing like waiting till the last minute! Hahaha. Guess I'll never learn. Anyhow I noticed my rubber intake on my Sporty was junk and now have been searching high and low to try And find one. I did search on here and ordered a few that members claimed worked only to find out they didn't. I' or the PN was discontinued. I'm asking if there is one that without a shadow of a doubt will work? Also any interest in repopping these? I know I'm not the only guy with a Sporty. Thanks.

There's a familiar name! You know Todd I think that's the first non sarcastic answer you've ever given me haha. I check with Matt. The ones he has are for the trailfire VM 30s.. Me and a member are trying to track down a Skidoo one that supposedly will work. Just was wondering what everyone else uses?

Bob, I may have one with no cracks or sign of age. I just tore a Sportfire motor down for parts. If I remember right I was impressed with how nice it was.

Followup - I assume Mr. Deere knows this already, but for everyone else: JDRob recommended an aftermarket part number for a carb mount that worked for him. I just test fit one on my sled, and it's a perfect fit. I have them in stock now at New Breed. http://www.newbreedparts.com/newbreed/i ... uct_id=345
