1983 John Deere Snowfire-Central Illinois

Up for sale is a nice 83 Snowfire. Crank seals and engine gaskets new last fall. Only used twice last winter. New fuel cap, fuel lines, fuel pickup, and fuel filter installed two years ago. Think I used it 3-4 times that winter. Crankcase held great pressure so I used it but decided not to gamble last winter. Installed new plugs and fresh premix yesterday and started and ran it to get rid of engine fogging oil. asking $600. Located in Normal, Illinois

Keith, if the deal falls through let me know. I have a nephew on the Bloomington P.D. and he knows some guys that were looking for sleds. I told him that I thought he'd missed this one, maybe not.

Nice clean sled for the money, I would have snapped that up if closer to home. Here in ontario it seems these vintage sleds bring 30-40% more at times. For $600 here you get a fixer-upper or parts machine
