Scrapyard find in N. Utah: Nice Cyclone

Post by Matt331 »

Hi guys,

I was at the scrapyard again today and found a Cyclone in great shape. Seat would need recovering, but hood and the rest are solid AND NOT faded by the sun. There's slight denting on the front right of the bellypan, the windshield is cracked up, and snow flap is torn. Under the hood is relatively clean and complete and the motor turns over. I didn't flip the sled to check the track. Of course "great" shape is my opinion. The hood paint was still shiny and decals in good shape. Oh, and the odometer said 2900 miles (I think it was miles and not KM's).

Awhile back I posted there were a couple of Liquifires (post 1980 chassis) there. They were pretty much basket cases but straight and had good parts. They are still there. I say this in case if someone were to drive a long way for some Deere stuff, you could leave with 3 sleds on your trailer.

I don't know what the owner would want for them, but I can give you his number.

I'd really hate to see such a nice Cyclone get scrapped.

Update on this sled: I was at a vintage lemans/snocross type of race in central Utah this last weekend and there was a Cyclone. Turns out, it was the Cyclone I found in the scrapyard. They said it started on the fourth pull. Glad it was rescued!
