75 jd 400 head light issue

hey gang i have a 75 jd 400 and i cant keep a headlight in it. ive replaced the voltage regulator but still no luck as soon as it fires it it lights up extremely bright than bang the bulb blows just don't know where to go from here? any help is appreciated thanks Chris burdell :thinksnow:

Make sure the voltage regulator has good contact from the mounting plate to the sled's frame, maybe sand some of the paint off the frame where it attaches to make sure.

Does your sled have Electric Start?

What bulb number are you useing?

yes it does have elect start but the plug is not plugged in and it has the jumper plug plugged in
