295 stripe
the stripe on the tunnel on my 295 is solid yellow like the other mean green sleds unlike the hood which has the yellow black yellow black . is there any way this is factory or has the tunnel been painted at some point . it looks like the original paint but maybe not? thanks for your help wade

Both my 295/S sleds have the solid yellow stripe on the hood and the tunnel. My buddy has 2 with the yellow/ black stripe. I think this must have been a factory serial number break change. I think the earlier ones had the 2 color stripe. Maybe someone else has some input also. Tom

Yes, there was definitely a point mid-production when they changed the decal. However the hood and tunnel would have the same one. Maybe your hood was swapped, or one of the stripe decals was replaced later in life.

It would be nice to know the serial # break on this... Mine has solid yellow on both tunnel & hood. Serial # is in the upper 700's.

I was looking at the registry - and can't really see a pattern. It's like they switched back and forth.

If remember the dicussion right I have the latest known serial # thats original with the yellow/black stripe Mine is in the high 500s. Looking at the registry he ones that are later than that with the yellow/black stripe are restored which could have easily gotten the early stripe. I have has 5 295s over the years and the late ones I had were in the 700-800 all yellow and the ones with yellow/black were in the 500s. All were original to my knowledge.

The one I just picked up 2 wks ago was 586 and I bought it from the original owner- Has the yellow/black stripe
