Son picked up a 76 Liquifire with the Kiortz. He cleaned the tank, cleaned the carbs, replaced fuel pump, fires up, but it won't shut off unless you pull the plug wires.
Tried checking the ignition switch with multimeter, don't seem to get any continuity between any of the terminals in any switch positions, so assume the switch is no good. unhooked kill switch at connector, and checked kill switch with meter, kill switch seems to function properly, but will not kill motor when switched off.
Someone had previously cut the white wire going to one of the coils, and run it through a on/off toggle switch which they had mounted in the dash, this would shut down one cylinder when in the off position, not sure what purpose this would have served.
Looking at the wiring diagram it appears wires are hooked correctly at this time, could this be a problem with the module, or something else he might be overlooking?
This sled is something he is trying to get back in running order and then plans on trying to sell it to help fund his next project.
Thanks for any help or ideas.

Re: 76 Liquifire, won't shut off
Start at the CDI box and see if the black wire is either plugged into the engine connector near the recoil or it is hooked directly to the white wire from the kill switch. Follow this diagram. In '76 the black wire was plugged into the engine connector, there was a change in '77 removing it from the connector and connecting it directly to the white wire.

The kill switch / ignition switch ground out the cdi box when turned off.
