78 Cross Country seat/fuel tank

Post by cfedorowich »

Hi. Did the 78 CC have a different seat and rear fuel tank as a factory option? Were they used? And if so Does anyone have photo's... am about to do a resto on mine... The seat is brand new...so I am wondering if it had something different on it? Thx. C.

As far as I know, there was no rear fuel tank on the '78 CC. The seat and fuel tank is the same as a standard '78 Liquifire.

Not saying someone didn't create a rear tank but John Deere didn't.

I have seen some 78 Cross Country machines that had the 10 gallon 340/S dual fill tank installed.

I'm sure someone has run a Dator seat with a rear tank on a CC before. It'd mount right on if a guy wanted to do it.
