Snow, snow, and more snow

Post by deeredr »

Ok, everyone who needs snow please come to Colorado and get you some.

Officially, at our location in Franktown, CO (just south of Denver), weatherman said we received 32" in the Xmas storm. The snow that just passed dropped probably another 10-18" depending on where you are at. Didn't look like that much to me though. Glad we had 2 forty degree days in between to help clear a small bit of it.

However you measure it and whoever you believe, it's enough.

And of course here I sit with some JD sleds and not a single one is ready to ride. I guess I got used to not having any snow around here in recent years.

I can only imagine how much money these storms will put into the coffers of the ski areas in the mountains, ice cold money to them especially with all the media coverage.

Now if only UPS will bring me some packages this week, only seen them twice since the Tuesday before Christmas.

I dream of having your problem, here i sit with no snow and 3 sleds ready to go. there was no snow last year and rain in the forecast for monday night. looks like it might get warm again next weekend. Yeah , you could be worse off.

I keep sayin were gonna get snow this month , but after watching the forecast I wonder if it ever will. Currently have a record setting 4 vintage sleds running and no snow . I'm sure the number would be lower if we had snow , because i most likely would have boke atleast one by now

anyway here a pretty cool snow picture ...

come on snow !

Ok, guess what?
That's right, it's snowing AGAIN in Denver!

Most schools are closed, DIA airport has some runways shut down although it's still operating, winter storm warnings are posted, and on and on.

It all looks far too familiar. Projected snowfall is 3-6" for Denver proper, 8-16" for foothills and mountains. Ski areas are supposed to get major good snow.

Most people are pretty tired of fighting this much snow in this short of a time span. We were just about to get everything cleared from the holiday storms, blades and front loaders were still running every day into the evening clearing up side roads, intersections, and highway shoulders.

Sure wish I could share with you guys
