'97 Polaris 680 Indy ultra sp rebuild question

$300 plus per cylinder . It might need a new belt, new clutches, new gas ($) shocks, track, idler wheels, water pump. $780 for water pump. 525 pounds of can't turn, doesn't stop well, doesn't hook up, and don't ever drive on a side slope. And this is the real thing it's very, very difficult to work on with all of these parts tightly packed in together. Repair manual is 600 pages of English translated into Japanese and then translated back into English I can't understand it.
In other words forget about it. Consider a 1977 Liquifire, truly worthy sled.

1977 340 Liquifire, 2 - 1978 440 Liquifires, 78 cc Clone(#35),
1997 Polaris XCR SE 600 (mistake).....
#400v

I seemed to have been a much better driver when my sled was slower.

It really depends on what it all needs. How far do you want to go, cheap pistons or wiseco, polaris clutches are pretty solid. I have torn some apart with 7000+ miles and just need new buttons on the primary and secondary might want new springs also. Check the front suspension especially where the trailing arms arms connect to the tunnel. I have seen them broken and just dangling in the belly pan. As far as the motor if its still running I wouldn't touch it they used plenty of oil.
I buy sell and service all brands. Contact me and i might be able to help. sleds 2-liquidators, 75 340/S, 80 liquifire, 78 440 liquifire, 75 jd 300, 83 9700 skidoo blizzard, 86 skidoo formula plus, 79 motoski super sonic, 91 skidoo mach 1 x, 92 formula plus x, 95 mxz 440, 3 toni hiakonen edition mxz's, 98 mxzx, 97 mxzx, 77 skidoo rv cross coutry, 77 skidoo Rv 340, 75 skidoo tnt 340FA, 97skidoo formula3LT, 06 800 skidoo summit, 08 skidoo tnt full trail mod with nos
