1980's liquifire thermostat

Post by 044984 »

In need of a thermostat for my 1980 liquifire. Original thermostat either went bad or previous owner seen no need of it. Is their any out their? Any possibility Napa has one that will work?

If the previous owner gutted the OEM one & just kept the washer in there your good, if he didn't put anything in it then you should have at least a gutted one ( just the washer ), I probably have a used one to gut if that's what you would want..
Reason for just using the washer is then you don't get a cold surge when the state opens if your running the sled too early ( not warmed up ) with out the washer the water flows too quickly & doesn't cool properly as it needs a bit of a restriction..

just my $.0765 worth
