Looking for some information...........
Does anyone happen to know how tall the 80-84 Liquifire/Sportfire/Trailfire LOW style windshield is?
I've been looking for one as Noah wants one on his Trailfire (he traded me his Scorpion for it). Turns out "low is cool". lol
The lowest one I can find in a catalog is 16". The one we have now is 18".
Seems like the low one should be 12"?
Any help is appreciated.

I just measured the LF and the Sporty and both have the shorter shield and they are 16" on the nose.
Always remember-Any parts leftover is money in your pocket.

Roger you are correct the "Sport" windshield is more like 12" I just measured the 2 low windshields that I have and they both are just a little over 12" (measured vertically from the horizontal part of the hood to the top of the windshield).
I think this might be an original Deere "Sport" windshield (not absolutely sure)

To the best of my knowledge Cannon Classics was the only place you could get a new 12" windshield and the word on the street is that Jeff is not currently making windshields.
By the way Noah is right......the low windshields are cool. I personally don't think this big Lexan sail looks sporty at all.

I think the captions are backwards on those first two photos. The first one should be Cannon and the second one could be original - and even has the black trim that is supposed to be around the bottom edge that is missing on pretty much every sled.

Honestly I'm not sure who made the one in the first picture.
I purchased the windshield in the second photo from Cannon Calssic about 4 years ago. I was sort of supprized when it arrived because the back edge tapers in. I've seen Deere literature showing both the "wings" and the tapered back. The rubber moulding I purchased from McMaster Carr and cut the slots in it.

That makes sense - the first one is the old Cannon version then - I have the same one on my Sport.

The big Lexan sail, otherwise known as the CC windshield, may not look as sporty but it sure is nice to hide behind when it's cold!

Its like pushing a block through the wind. I have agree with Nick. I hate the big CC windshield. Looks like an "OLD MAN" sled. LOL
