Alexandria to Wilmer Race Ready
Ready for the big race. Every nut, bolt and part torn apart and cleaned up/replaced. All the race modifications and a few extras that everyone talks about. Too many to list. Yes I know it will never look as good as it does now but if you have it all apart you might as well clean it up.
Now time for lots and lots of miles to figure out what it likes and does not like. Also just as important is for me to get in race riding shape. I am now more worried about me than the machine!
Huge thanks for lots and lots of hands on help from Brock and Jesse. Could not have done it with out them. Also along the way really appreciate the advise and idea brainstorming from Dustin E, Wade B and Joe R.

I'll second that, but we need to get some pics of it out in the snow! RWTC, before the moguls and the trees!JDT wrote:I wish to nominate the first image for the 2016 Calender.

Re: Alexandria to Wilmer Race Ready
Thanks everyone. Upon finishing the decals and graphics on Saturday, Jesse and I were talking about how it is too nice to race. Alot of credit goes to Brock for his help. I have had the pleasure to put together some nice sleds (Cyclone on the calendar cover 3 years ago, 295s that took 2nd place at St. Germain, Dator and Dator Clone), I do have to say that black with the green, yellow and red graphics really jumps out at you. I think my best project yet especally with so many race modifcations seen and unseen in the picture.
First major shake down ride Dec 28-30. Hope to put 300 miles on it during these 3 days. And yes I plan to get some good pics in the snow with a northwoods background versus my garage door.

Well, they took the best of the best and beat them senseless back in the day, so I guess it's only fitting!

Re: Alexandria to Wilmer Race Ready
Matt,
Like I said on your FB post, GREAT JOB! Getting miles on her before the race will serve you well. Getting the clutching and suspension dialed in is a lot more work than expected, but worth it. That rear skid makes ALL the difference in this race.
It will be a pleasure to line up with you this winter and I wish you a strong finish!
