Custom low profile windshield

Post by Deerexing »

There was supposedly someone in Cannon Falls Mn that made custom low profile windshields for the Jd liquifier. Anyone know if he is still doing them and if so how I can contact him? Any other information on any other people that anyone has got a low profile smoked windshield for the Jd liquifier would be appreciated.

You are looking for Cannon Classic Sleds. I don't think he is building windshields right now.

I am tying to find a smoked low profile windshield to complete the restoration of my 83 liquifire. Has anyone heard if classic sleds is still planning on resuming making custom windshields or know someone who might have one for sale?

I don't think Cannon Classic is planning on returning to doing business but stranger things have happened. I inquired about buying the operation but it was out of my price range and no, I won't divulge what he wanted as a favor to him. Jeff always treated me great and while I miss his products I wish him the best.

Dennis Kirk sells windshields for around $80? They have the tall ones and shorter ones made by Kimpex. Not quite as short as the ones Jeff made but really good quality and they look great. I have them on my Sportfire and Liquifire.

not sure which liquifire you are looking for a windshield for ,BUT this winter I realized that the windshield on my 78 is a snowstuff , I bought 2 of them when I built the sled back in 2010 , before the rwtc I got the second one out of storage to put it on another sled and its a snowstuff , I thought sure it was a kimpex . it has worked perfect for me for 4 vintage challenges and 2 I500s and another 1000 miles or so in the UP and around home . I would buy another one for sure they are priced at around $55.00 or so wade
certificate recipiant of the 12 vintage challenge !! on a 78 liquifre 440,
certificate recipiant of the 13 vintage challenge !! on a 340/s
certificate recipient of the 14 vintage challenge !! on a 78 liquifire 440
joe forgot the certificates for the 2015 vintage challenge
crossed the start/finish line twice at the 2013 and 2014 I500 on a 78 liquifire 440

Maybe they work better on the 78's but I bought a brand new one for my 80LF and instantly it started folding down at around 50mph and then snapped both of the front tabs off, I was not impressed after spending $78 plus shipping
