Laying down some tracks... Weekend fun.

Post by fastl82vette »

It looks like this is the end of the line for us in Illinois. With warm weather and rain coming on Tuesday we got some miles in today for probably the last time this season.
We put about 20 miles on my spitfire and my cousins liquifire and then about 25 miles on my vmax and his skidoo with no problems. It was a beautiful day!!

Today was a fair day for snowmobiling across the state line from you in NW Indiana. We didn't have any substantial snow on the ground before last night. We had about 5 inches, but it was the fluffy type that the skis just go right through. We put about 20 miles on both the Liquifire and Trailfire, but by mid afternoon, they were running like s**t with the temps around freezing. This evening, the snow finally settled and the temps dropped, so the sledding was good. I saw that you guys had more snow on the ground before the storm last night. I was right through you area both Friday afternoon and last night going to and coming from Devil's Head in Wisconsin to go skiing with the wife. We took 116 to I-39 going up and I-39 to I-80 coming home. I was surprised how much snow was still on the ground from the big snow in N central IL. Jeff

Didn't take any good photos but Harleysporster and I got 70 something miles in on Saturday in the Poconos. The weather was perfect - sunny, clear blue skies, nice and cold.
